We need you!

We need volunteers to help us run the 2026/27 Australian Youth Circuit (AYC) #2 event, a national-level event for Under 15 fencers.

Held at the Lights on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 December, we need volunteers in the following roles.

Role	Times Required	Description
Set up	Afternoon/evening from 3 pm Friday 11 December	Similar to state comps: lay pistes and cables, and set up the venue.
Pack up	From 3 pm Sunday 13 December	Similar to state comps: pack up the pistes and other items, and clear the venue.
Equipment Control	Friday 6-8pm Saturday 8-9am, 10-11am, 2-3pm Sunday 8-9am, 10-11am	Checking the fencers' equipment to ensure it meets the safety requirements. Full training is provided for this role; it's easier than it sounds! Young fencers 14+ are encouraged to sign up for this (and parents too, a great way to learn about equipment!).
Camera Operating	Morning/lunch/afternoon shifts Saturday and Sunday	Two finals pistes are live streamed (and video referreed) - each piste needs someone to assist with operating the cameras. No technical knowledge is needed, and this role directly supports the AFF.
