Parafencing is a fast paced and exciting sport for athletes with a disability. Parafencing was one of the foundation sports of the Paralympic program in 1960 and continues to grow throughout the world. The Australian Fencing Federation (AFF) is currently working on building a base for this sport in Australia and FSA is excited to be a part of this movement.

Currently FSA is developing a basic set of specialised equipment required in parafencing. We have already obtained the heavy-duty frame to hold wheelchairs securely and a set of conductive skirts for epee fencing.

Over the next 12 months we hope to raise funds for 2 specialised wheelchairs and then start to run demonstrations and small programs.
