Registrations for this event are not currently available.
Normal registrations will close at 23:59pm on the Sunday prior to the event. Late registrations will close at 23:59pm on the Thursday prior to the event.
Competitions with fewer than 4 entries at the close of late entries will be cancelled.
Please Note: Roll Call for all events is 15 minutes prior to the start time. Check-in after this time will result in removal of your entry. Please confirm the roll start times on the FSA Calendar.
Fencers may enter in multiple weapons - but be aware that this may result in you swapping back and forth between events, if there is overlap.
Eligibility Criteria
FSA membership
Fencing less than two years.
Year of birth 2008 or earlier.
Competitors will not be excluded if they have fenced in other FSA events before (e.g. Open B).
These events are aimed at beginners who have limited or no experience in individual state-level competition. If you feel that your skill level surpasses that of “novice”, please speak with your coach to determine if this event is suitable for you.
Participants should be aware that this event is targeted at adults, and there will be a range of physicality levels.
Depending on numbers, the events will be split into male/female competitions, per the FSA Event Gender Policy (https://www.fencingsa.org.au/competitions/rules). Depending on numbers, the events may be spilt into Junior (Under 20) and Senior Novice events.
Breeches and long socks are preferred but track pants are acceptable. Leggings are NOT suitable and fencers will not be permitted to take to the piste in anything the DT deems unsafe, particularly in epee.
Full size weapons are required.
Chest protectors – compulsory for female competitors, optional for male.
Sabre – conductive glove or cuff required.
