The following competitions are cancelled:

Sunday 23rd November - Men's Intermediate Epee, Women's Intermediate Epee

All other events will proceed as timetabled.

The FencingSA end of year awards lunch will be held in the upstairs dining room of the General Havelock Hotel on Sunday 7 December at 12.30pm.

Included will be the awarding of medals to the 2008 ranking winners, Achievement and Appreciation Awards and the naming of the State Senior Squad for 2009. (and issuing of their T Shirts if they are printed in time)

In preparation for the 2008 National Championships fencers are invited to attend 9 training sessions at Scotch College.

The sessions will be run by Kirill (Kira) Zhdanovich who is also the SA Team Coach for the Nationals in Sydney, Kira will be assisted by State Coach, Leon Thomas.

Times: 7.30-9.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays Dates: 28/10, 30/10, 4/11, 6/11, 11/11, 13/11, 18/11, 20/11, 25/11. Cost: $180.00 for the series of sessions, regardless of how many attended. $90.00 for Junior Fencers (under 20 years) and members of the State Senior Squad.

Fencers intending to compete at the Nationals are urged to attend, this Squad is however, open to all affiliated fencers who may wish to broaden their experience and to support our State Team.

Please be prepared to do both training and fencing, bring the appropriate equipment for electric fencing

Entries for the 2008 AFF National Open & Veteran Championships, to be held at the Anne Clark Netball Centre in Lidcombe, Sydney, New South Wales, from 28th November to 2nd December 2008 are due with FencingSA by Monday 10th November 2008.

Entry forms and payment should be submitted to your club or via post to FencingSA at PO Box 6224 Halifax St SA 5000.

Entry fees are $55 per individual entry for each event, except in Veterans events where one entry fee entitles a fencer to compete in other Veterans events. Late entry fees of $110 per individual entry for each event will be charged for entries received after the closing date and up to roll call on the day of the event.

All fencers must be properly licensed with FencingSA or the entry will not be accepted.
